Francesca Taviani graduated from the 'Santa Cecilia' Conservatoire of Rome and later furthered her education in Italy and abroad under F. Strano, A. Baldovino, T., and M. Wick Drobinsky.
Following her passion for chamber music, she took part in P. Farulli’s courses at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, where she received a Certificate of Merit for three consecutive years.
She won first prize in both the Chamber Music Competition with the Trio Tcajkovski at the Academy of Portogruaro and the School of Music in Fiesole with the Trio di Trieste.
She also placed highly in international chamber music competitions such as Scontrino Competition (Trapani), Carlo Zecchi (Rome), Viotti Competition in Vercelli, Città di Caltanissetta, Capri Competition, Premio Vittoria in Rome, and Campagnano Competition.
She was a finalist in the International Competition Gui in Florence.
She founded the Trio Alibert and has been a member of the Quartetto di Roma.
She was principal cellist of the Officina Musicale and the Aracoeli Ensemble.
She has passed through the national recruitment process, formally obtaining eligibility to teach Chamber Music.
She teaches at the 'Giuseppe Martucci' Conservatoire in Salerno.
