Born into a family of musicians, he studied in America under Zinaida Gilels, the assistant of Yuri Yankelevich at the Moscow Conservatoire; Roman Totenberg, disciple of Carl Flesh and George Enescu; and Peter Zazowsky, a student of Ivan Galamian.
He completed his studies at Boston University.
He was a guest at some of the most prestigious international festivals (Ravenna Festival, Spring Festival Budapest, Osaka Festival, Bach Festival Toronto, etc.).
He was invited to be the ‘Guest Concert Master’ by some internationally leading orchestras, including the ‘Chamber Orchestra of Europe’.
Since 2007 he has been the principal violinist of the renowned ensemble ‘I Musici’, with whom he regularly performs solo concerts in theatres and in the major concert halls of the world.
Among the most prestigious: the Berlin Philharmonic, Koln Philarmonie, Herkulessaal and Prinzregententheatre in Munich, the Musikverein in Vienna, Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, Lincoln Center in New York, Boston Symphony Hall, Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, Mariinsky Opera Housein St. Petersburg, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Arts Performance Center in Seoul, the National Theatre in Beijing, Shanghai Opera House, Sydney Opera House, Great Hall of Auckland (New Zealand), Santa Cecilia Auditorium in Rome, Società del Quartetto in Milan, Torino Musical Union, etc.
His concerts with ‘I Musici’ were broadcast by television and radio stations in Europe, North and South America, Australia, New Zealand, and the Far East.
He has recorded under the Sony Epic, Dinamic, and Fonè labels.
Recently he has recorded the seventh edition of Vivaldi's ‘Four Seasons’ with ‘I Musici’ under the Sony label.
He currently plays a Nicola Amati 1676.
