Antonio Fraioli

He completed his musical studies in Clarinet performance and Jazz at the 'O. Respighi' Conservatoire in Latina under the guidance of G. Magliocca, M. Zazzarini, and F. Belli.

He attended highly advanced courses in Sermoneta (under A. Pay) and at the Accademia Superiore Internazionale di Musica 'Lorenzo Perosi' in Biella.

He completed two postgraduate courses: in Music at the 'Tor Vergata' University in Rome; and in ‘Women, Politics and Institutions’ at 'La Sapienza' University in Rome, submitting a thesis on ‘Equal Opportunities in the Music World’.

He was awarded the first prize in the wind instrumentalist category at the third annual T.I.M. competition (an international competition held in different European cities).

He performs regularly in Italy and abroad (Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Holland, US, Canada) both as a soloist and member of various ensembles.

He has released original compositions under the following record labels: Tactus, Edipan, EurArte, Duchesne Liegi (Belgium), Accademia Italiana del Clarinetto, Agenda Edizioni Musicali, AFM Roma, and performed for Rai-RadioTre, Rai-TV1 (Italy's national public broadcasting company), Radio Nacional de España, Radio Vaticana, Troy University Public Radio (US), WOMR Radio (US), Radio Cemat, and Punto Radio.

His compositions, transcriptions, revisions, and arrangements have been performed in: Italy; the United States; Canada; England; Germany; Austria; Belgium; Holland; Norway; Turkey; Spain; Greece; France; Israel; Argentina; Colombia, and published with: Edizioni Musicali Eufonia; Potenza Music (US); Accademia Italiana del Clarinetto; L'Oca del Cairo; Ut Orpheus Edizioni; EurArte.

He has delivered several masterclasses and lecture-recitals in Italy, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Holland, and Spain.

He is also the author and presenter of several TV and radio programmes dedicated to music.

He plays Ripamonti clarinets and D’Addario reeds.

He passed through the national appointment process to teach in the Italian Conservatoire System.

Currently, he teaches at the Salerno State Conservatoire.
