Born in Naples in 1960, he received his musical education at the 'S. Pietro a Majella' Conservatoire of Naples, studying Guitar under Francesco De Sanctis and Composition under Bruno Mazzotta.

He subsequently studied under Roberto Aussel, Mario Gangi, Oscar Ghiglia, and Josè Tomàs.

Additionally, he plays the baroque guitar.

He regularly performs in Italy, Belgium, Holland, France, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Slovakia, and Brazil, taking part in international events, such as Montreux, Belfort, Loire, Normandy, Belèm, and Sorrento Festivals.

Much of his time is devoted to playing in ensembles, from duos to chamber orchestras, and to contributing to the promotion and dissemination of contemporary music, in particular the ‘Neapolitan School’ repertoire.

He premiered several guitar works, personally composed for him by well-known musicians (Healey, Mazzotta, Summaria, Vitale).

He has recorded for Italian, Vatican, Dutch, and Brazilian television and radio broadcasts.

He has released four Italian chamber music CDs under the following labels: Saga records (London, 1991), Opus111/Naïve (Paris, 1999/2007), and CNI (Rome, 2012 & 2013), with the flutist Cécile Prakken, the contralto Daniela del Monaco, and the saxophonist Gianfranco Brundo, respectively.

In 2007 he released a solo guitar CD ‘Italian Sonatas and Variations’.

Furthermore, he has published a book with Alfredo Guida Editions on the guitar history in Naples during the twentieth century (with a solo CD enclosed, ‘Recherche’).

He has recently recorded a guitar solo by Neapolitan composer Patrizio Marrone under the label Stradivarius (2015).

He has written and published chamber music compositions (Clear Note, Ut Orpheus, Euphonia, Setticlavio and others), numerous transcriptions, articles in the musicological field, and guitar teaching material.

He is a prize-winner in the VIII Composition Contest, held in Corfù, and in the XIV Composition Contest ‘Franco Caracciolo’.

He was successful in being appointed a music consultant at RAI (Italy's national public broadcasting company).

Currently, he delivers several masterclasses and teaches Guitar at the Salerno 'Giuseppe Martucci' Conservatoire.
