Gaetano Falzarano graduated in Clarinet performance from the 'San Pietro a Majella' Conservatoire, Naples, under the guidance of R. Di Costanzo.
Afterwards he furthered his skills under Jack Brymer, Glen Martin, and Alessandro Carbonare.
After a successful audition for the Opera-Symphony Orchestra of the San Carlo Opera House in Naples, with which he collaborated from 1992 to 1998, he was appointed as principle Clarinet and principle E-flat Clarinet.
From 1998 to 2012, he was a stable member of the Italian National Military Police Band (Guardia di Finanza).
He has played under the direction of many internationally acclaimed conductors: G. Kun, D. Oren, P. Maag, M. Rota, O. Magar, K. Martin, Z. Mehta, K. Nagano, S. Mercurio, R. Paternostro, etc.
He won six national and international competitions.
He is solo Clarinet of the Wind Simphonietta, directed by G. Mola, with which he has been collaborating since 1992.
He has recorded for various labels including: Edi-Pan-Roma, Kicco Music-Milano, RAI (Italy's national public broadcasting company), Santa Barbara, and Studio&Studio.
Since 2003, he has been teaching the Clarinet performance Course organised every year by the musical association ‘Unasp-Acli music project’ of Airola, in the Province of Benevento.
During the academic year 2005-06, he earned a Master’s degree with honours in Clarinet performance (new degree system) at the prestigious Santa Cecilia Conservatoire, Rome.
Since 2013, he is regularly invited as principal clarinettist of the Orchestra Filarmonica of the 'G. Verdi’ Opera House in Salerno conducted by Daniel Oren.
He is a professor of Clarinet at the 'G. Martucci' Conservatoire of Salerno.
