Field of Study: PIANO - CODI/21
He is a well-known pianist in Italy and abroad.
He trained at the schools of Lya De Barberiis, Michele Marvulli, and Massimo Bertucci, earning his Piano performance diploma at the 'San Pietro Majella' Conservatoire of Naples with highest honours.
For almost 40 years, he has performed in hundreds of concerts in many Italian cities, as well as in Canada and in Britain, on behalf of important music institutions.
As a soloist and an accompanist – in orchestras, duos, trios, quartets and various other ensembles – he has performed various repertoires ranging from the 1700s to the 1900s.
He collaborated with RAI (Italy's national public broadcasting company) and with various other broadcasts, as well as participating in various contemporary music festivals.
Equally appreciated for his lecture-recitals and monographic programmes, he has always been favourably received by critics.
As well as performing, he also has a very busy teaching schedule, thanks to which he has educated many brilliant pianists who are serving as great representatives of the School.
He taught Piano performance at the ‘R. Duni’ Conservatoire in Matera, then at the ‘L. Perosi’ Conservatoire in Campobasso and, at present, he teaches at the ‘G. Martucci’ Conservatoire in Salerno.
Furthermore, over the past few years, he has handled the methodological aspects of piano education with excellent results in terms of research and experimentation.
With this in mind, he has delivered courses in history and analysis of both the teaching methodology and instrumental piano repertoire as well as seminars and courses of piano interpretation.
He is often invited as a panellist in piano competitions.
