Irma Irene Tortora

From a young age she has stood out in the opera field and drawn the attention of sacred music composers from Campania who have written exclusive compositions for her.
She has recorded the CD ‘Il Tempo’ performing the compositions written by Pericle Odierna inspired by the peoples of Africa, Portugal, Ireland, and France.
Furthermore, she has performed sacred cantatas by Sant’Alfonso Maria de’ Liguori.
Alongside her musical studies in Opera Performance and Music Education, she studied humanities (specialising in the psycho-pedagogical area) and afterwards completed her education in Artistic Vocology with Franco Fussi, a luminary of European phoniatrics.
She has performed at the most prestigious venues in Italy, Europe, and overseas: Budapest Festival Vivaldi, Cavalleria Rusticana; Tirana Opera House (Albania), Rigoletto and Il barbiere di Siviglia by Rossini; Cheboksary Opera House (Russia), Carmen; Craiova Opera House (Romania), Stabat Mater by Pergolesi, Gloria by Vivaldi, Requiem Mass by Mozart; Moldovan National String Orchestra, Albanian National String Orchestra, Harmonia quartet, I Solisti Partenopei, Bacău Symphony orchestra (Romania), Tchaikovsky Symphony orchestra (Russia), Dorothy Chandler Pavilion – Los Angeles USA, Leonardo Da Vinci Opera House - Montreal (Canada).
She has studied under the following artists: Renato Guelfi; Raina Kabaiwanska; Katia Ricciarelli; and Alevtina Sergheeva who are still a great source of inspiration in her successful technical and interpretative methodology used in her teaching activity.
She currently teaches at the 'G. Martucci' Conservatoire of Salerno.
