She graduated with honours from the Mantova Conservatoire and honed her skills at the ‘R. Romanini’ Academy in Brescia with pianist Maria Golia.
She performed as a soloist and piano accompanist in many important Italian concert halls (Verdi Opera House of Trieste, ‘Rosetum’ of Milano, Bibiena Opera House of Mantova, ‘Amici della Musica’ of Trento, Florence, Senigallia, ‘Amici della Lirica’ of Parma, Bolzano, etc.).
As a piano accompanist she performed together with artists such as sopranist, Angelo Manzotti (winner of the prestigious 1992 ‘Luciano Pavarotti’ International Competition in Philadelphia); buffo bass, Enzo Dara (Rossini’s Don Bartolo at the Metropolitan Opera House in 1982); bass, Lorenzo Regazzo; tenor, Rubens Pelizzari.
She also performed in the opera competition ‘Accademia K. Ricciarelli – Città di Mantova’ and the Opera Singing Interpretation of Italian Repertoire Course in Monaco di Baviera with a well-received final concert in August 2008.
Additionally, Laura works as a vocal coach for opera singers.
Her repertoire includes the most important arias and operas by Mozart, Bellini, Donizetti, Rossini, Verdi, Puccini, Giordano, and Mascagni as well as a vast number of classical German, romantic, and 20th century Lieder.
She surpassed the requirements of the national recruitment process based on artistic merit, qualifications and written examinations to be eligible for a teaching role in the Italian Conservatoire System.
She has been teaching since 1993.
From 2003 to 2008 she was a piano accompanist in the ‘Lied und Oratorium’ Specialist Course in Bolzano, performing a large repertoire of vocal chamber music including the most famous Lieder by W.A. Mozart, L. van Beethoven, F. Schubert, R. Schumann, H. Wolf, R. Strauss, Wagner, and Mahler in addition to Oratorios by Haydn, Haendel, J.S. Bach, Mendelssohn, Faurè, Pergolesi, Vivaldi, Rossini, and operettas by Lehar, Britten, and Bernstein.
Since 2016 she has been teaching Piano Accompaniment at the ‘G. Martucci’ Conservatoire in Salerno.
