He graduated in Classical and Jazz Trombone performance.
In 1992 he successfully auditioned to be a member of the National Youth Orchestra ‘Siena Jazz’.
He has taken part in a wealth of national and international festivals including, amongst others, Umbria Jazz, Montreal Jazz, Veneto Jazz, Cagliari Jazz, Terni Jazz, Québec Jazz, and Amsterdam Jazz.
He has performed in eminent theatres and venues including, amongst others, the Royal Albert Hall, Parco della Musica (Rome), Palace Theatre (Manchester), Verdi Opera House, Teatro Piccolo (Milan), Teatro Ariston (Sanremo), Teatro Arciboldi (Milan), Casa del Jazz, Blue Note, Alexanderplatz, Cantina Bentivoglia, and Il Torrione.
He has collaborated with renowned artists, such as, the Art Ensemble of Chicago, Salomon Burke, Peter Erskine, Randy Brecker, Bob Mintzer, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Fabrizio Bosso, Diane Schuur, Paolo Fresu, Roberto Gatto, Tom Harrell, Maurizio Giammarco, Gene Jackson, Dario Deidda, Archie Shepp, Sandro and Alfonso Deidda, and Carl Anderson.
He has participated in various TV and Radio RAI productions (Italy's national public broadcasting company).
During his professional career, he has collaborated in several recordings alongside respected musicians, such as, Duffy Jackson, Luigi Grasso, Jhon Allred, Giovanni Amato, Sergio Di Natale, Attilio Troiano, Gianluca Renzi, and Pippo Matino.
He collaborated on the soundtrack of the film ‘Il Trasformista’ by Luca Barbareschi.
In 2011 he published his first book ‘Metodo per trombone, Esercizi giornalieri’, a trombone method which includes daily exercises.
Currently, he is the principal trombone of the Salerno Jazz Orchestra and collaborates with various jazz orchestras and small ensembles, ranging from jazz and soul repertoires, to Cuban and pop music.
